It starts innocently enough: Someone sends an email to you and ten colleagues and asks if you want to get lunch. But…you can’t and you let them know. But for the next two hours, you receive an email every ten minutes from that thread with everyone else’s responses: “No I can’t.” “Yes totally in.” “How about Red Robin?”
Since you won’t be there, not only is this string now useless, it’s becoming depressing. In Outlook, highlight the message and click Ignore. This will move current and future messages in the selected conversation to the Deleted Items folder.
This feature can also be useful for other threads on occasion.
